Probably not THE worst movie ever made, but
a strong contender. Checked this out from the
public library, so no cost involved. A bit of
nasty fun.

I'm fairly certain that Game of Thrones is a big hit with most of the people at this forum. I want to point out that I think this picture, if somewhat edited, would have made an almost perfect loading screen for Gothic 3. Bronn embodies the mercenary!

Still somewhat new to anime, but gotta admit i really like this one. The only thing though...man do authors hate the main character...
Still, very fun show overall.

Pretty good allegorical/mindscrew/simbolic movie which isn't too pretentious considering the standards of the genre.

^You know, there are those who consider Lynch to be pretty much the epitome of pretentiousness. I've liked his movies, but above all from his stuff I dig Twin Peaks.

Really? Maybe in the nineties? I've seen much more pretentious stuff with half the brain of this movie, like Shyalayabugabugabuga's movies and things. This is the first Lynch movie I've watched, though.

Yeah, there are. Not that I really agree. I mean, yeah, sometimes Lynch does seem to make unintelligible and incomprehensible plots just for the sake of making them incomprehensible, but like he himself said somewhere, what he goes for is a feeling, an atmosphere, not a linear narration as such. Have you seen Mulholland Drive? Apparently, he pieced together that movie from scraps of a rejected TV series project he was in. It shows, but the movie is still pretty awesome.
Anyhow, on the topic of David Lynch, I wholeheartedly recommend you to check out Twin Peaks. One of my two absolute favourite TV shows ever.

I guess I'm the last person on the internet to have watched this. Whatever, I liked it despite my aversion to scatterbrain movies. I can empathize with the Dude, he just wants to get high in his bathtub and bowl but German nihilists and other shady characters just keep breaking into his shit and dragging him into fake noir plots.

Apparently a real shocker upon its release, and I can understand it, as the movie features many actors who were, or would become, Big Names, such as Malcolm McDowell and Helen Mirren, and was a (more or less) major production, and also very explicitly pornographic; apart from allusions to incest, adultery and more, there is actual footage of oral sex and intercourse of both the heterosexual and homosexual variety. Lots of it, too. But apart from the shock value, there really is nothing here; the plot is thinner than an anorexic super model, the scenery and the costumes look cheap, the acting is very uninspired... it's all just a shamble of confusing scenes interspersed with sex. It's like a cheap exploitation movie, just with a bigger budget. I guess it's worth seeing just because it's such a notorious film; certainly not worth watching for cinematographic merits.

Watch it! It might help some of you see some reason.

Django Unchained

I watched it again now, after seeing it at the cinema first, when it came out. I rarely feel like watching a movie a second time, but this one was totally worth it. Django Unchained is one of the coolest and most intelligent movies I've seen in the last years. And the character Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz) totally makes the movie ... By far the slickest character in a film full of slick ones.
